Classes - New Clients - One to One

Class Information

Julia’s classes have no more than 12 per class, this ensures that everyone in the class gets individual attention.  Julia teaches in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to a range of levels and abilities.  There will be all the necessary equipment needed for you to attend class.  You will need to wear comfortable loose fitting clothing with socks on your feet.  It is advisable to bring something warm to wear as Pilates is often undertaken at a slow to moderate speed.

Pilates is a hands on exercise programme and teachers often move clients into position but this is never forced.  All Pilates exercises are about movement and no one exercise is static (held). 

Classes follow the Eight Principles of Pilates:

  • Relaxation
  • Concentration
  • Alignment
  • Breathing
  • Centring
  • Co-ordination
  • Flowing Movements
  • Stamina

Most classes last one hour and are paid for in advance at the beginning of each block. 

Missed classes may be taken at another time/day as long as there is space available.

New Clients

All new clients have to undertake a 1:1 prior to flowing into a suitable class.  These usually last 1 hour and are charged at the 1:1 rate (please see Prices).  New clients will also be asked to fill in an Enrolment Form giving a little medical background plus aims and goals.  These details are stored securely and would never be passed on to a third party.

One to One Sessions

In most cases 1:1s  may be taken at a location of your choice in South Norfolk or North Suffolk.  Julia will ask you to fill out an Enrolment Form prior to your first session.  She will also bring all the necessary equipment with her. Sessions usually last 1 hour.  Payment is cash or bank transfer in advance of the commencement of the session.
